Yes, notice how Paulson and Bush stressed how urgent action was a must. Reminiscent of the Patriot Act. Don't vote against it, don't read it, don't even consider the pros and cons. Just pass it and pass it quickly.

It seems that Congress is being told that this is not a time to even ask any questions and the Fed is doing things that they have no authority to do.
