If there's a fact other than death and taxes it is that mainstream media headlines that come in early phases of a government and societal problem will ALWAYS mis-estimate the problem in such a way as to protect their agenda.

In this, the agenda is either financial shock&awe, which means they overstate it. Otherwise, the more likely situations, the agenda is to say it is only a 20pct adder on our national debt and don't panic.

In my take, this is bigger than they headlined.
