Seattle Times endorses Obama.

No surprise there.

Had a guy come to the house the other day, just at dusk, wanted to know if he could have a stump in my yard. I said sure, take them all if you want. He would never look me in the eye but asked a lot of questions that made me suspecious of him. I finally said, I thought you came here for one of them stumps not to ask a lot of questions that are none of your business, he said sorry and walked off. I took the license plate number of his truck and called the cops. 10 after that call, they showed up. I was impressed because at that time, it was dark as pitch, we still had no power so no street lights, the road was still partially blocked in places with large trees that were in various stages of removal. I gave them a good description of the guy, his license plate and description of his truck and companion. I also told them that my husband was a pilot, he was do to fly out in a few days and that I was armed will have no problem shooting anyone that had the nerve to break into my home. The two cops looked at one another, then at me and then at my husband. Then one of them said, we don't have a problem with that. Just please inform the dispatcher when you call that you are armed and they will instruct you what to do with your firearm when we arrive. I said thanks and they left.
