Passing the bill as is just allows the Republicans to shift the blame to them.

Couldn't we just hold things off for another couple of months? Seriously, would the world end if we at least waited for the present administration to get flushed? After all we've been through with the present kleptocracy, does anyone seriously think it's a good idea to give Bush et al. a blank check to administer this bailout? People keep crying about "the alternative" of inaction - given Bush's record, I'll take my chances with the alternative, or at least a 90-day delay. Folks, the world ain't gonna end...

"the Dems are already expanding the size and scope of the bailout."

They are porkin' as we speak and figuring how to buy some votes. Maybe some free houses.
