Paulson is not a crook. We are lucky he's the Sec. of the Treasury. One of the few competent appointments by Bush. He knows this stuff better than most.

And let me remind you.....before coming to the Treasury, he ran GS. While at GS, he refused to take on subprime mortgages.....he knew they were bad. In fact, GS is the only investment bank that did not dabble in subprime.
