Grassroots agree with McCain--they don't like the bailout proposal. Post from a local message board:

I'm really miffed about this. Those wankers on Wall Street, in good times, don't want anyone intruding on their profits but now that their stupid/fraudulent/whatever deals have exposed them to actual losses, they want you and me to bail them out.

And this, in the draft legislation:

Sec. 8. Review.

Decisions by the Secretary pursuant to the authority of this Act are non-reviewable and committed to agency discretion, and may not be reviewed by any court of law or any administrative agency.

Those are DICTATORIAL powers. At least in state government they pretend to allow for legal challenges by assigning original jurisdiction to the state Supreme Court on some matters. These guys aren't even pretending on this deal.

NO BAILOUT!!! Call them now! They're in the phone book.<
