Ted,
Amazing how similar we look at the economics. There is fear in the air again today. I find myself saying we have to trust the govt here and especially paulson and bernanke. Scares the hell out of me because of whats gone on here over the last 8 years but the alternative is cataclysmic. Euros btw will tell you that they put a ton of money into the system but the only way to fight deflation is thru inflation of assets and not just oil and this wealth transfer that may have reignited. Weaker dollar is the crux of the problem so they should lower rates. In lieu of that fall back is getting this agreement passed. I hope the dems wont stand pat on 400K ceo compensation. Thats just ridiculous. All the good ceos will go to other industries. Makes no sense to me unless i am missing something. Mike

Your stupid German friends...they are at it again, Ted! Merkel, and "why should our tax payers help bailing out the US tax payers when their problem is home made?"

Great, solidarity of the West indeed.
I wish the Fed had let the whole thing just melt down - and with that the US 'investments' of the Chinese, Europeans and the Russians.
