Using DDT for agricultural purposes never was what this cheap and highly efficient substance was aimed at. Many great potions bringing back health to man or nature are instant killers if abused. Nothing new here.

As for Ceylon stopping the cure when they believed the disease was eradicated, this is exactly what happened to polio in many places of the world. Nothing new here either, man's eternal stupidity.

That said, don't change to subject, CJ.
DDT was, still is and remains the best and most effective of all cures invented against the roots of malaria.

So inventive and revolutionary that it commanded a Nobel price.

But then again, politician's sperm count and longer lives for the hunting falcons in Saudi Arabia sure counts more than a couple of million baby lives in the 3rd world.
