I tell ya what, we bought our generator 5 years ago. This is the first time we have ever had to use it and it worked like a champ!

Keep the generator. We lost power for 5 days last Fall and I was never so happy to have one in my life. We'd done without......suffering power outages a lot.........and I insisted we buy one. It saved us a lot of money on food, and kept our house warm. We even watched movies on the tv through the dvd.
