About the Bush bailout, look at how the administration and Bernanke are saying that a bailout package has to be passed as soon as possible or else we will go into a recession...

Sound familiar? Yes, of course. It is the financial variant of the "unless we act here and now, the smoking gun will come in the form of a mushroom cloud". The good thing is that this time, some Senators, both Democrats and libertarian Republicans, are opposing the bailout.

The financial shenanigans of the last 8 years guarantee a recession, possibly a severe one. In fact, after the elections are over, we will be told by the government that the economy went into a recession in late 2007 or early 2008. But what the Dumbyasshole administration is trying to do is to take a recession and turn it into a hyperinflationary depression, which will be even worse than the Great Depression of the 1930's - call it the GreatER Depression! :-((
