Yep, I've done the math on a number of restructuring layoffs or pay cuts that have hit the news now and then.

In the typical case, you could have fired the top 5 people in management, that drove the company into the ground in the first place, and save more money than the layoffs and pay cuts.

On another note, I think it's interesting the only person in the world sticking up for American citizens is the president of France:

Of course, with Bush's daddy on the board of Carlyle Group, and their stake in real estate, you really can't expect that sort of thing here.
