CEF.a publishes the NAV, daily:
centralfund.com

I am surprised by the strength of the sell off but stupidly did not check the NAV in the last few days. At the worst of the recent gold raid it was down to 2-3%. Most of the time I have held it these past few years the NAV has fluctuated between 7-11%. I have never seen anything over 14% . I did email the fund last year and they sent me a historical listing of the NAV, no compounding of the stats just daily results over years.

So, I might have traded it on the outsized NAV if I had been awake but really I bought it for LT and this financing will all go into silver and gold bullion at what the managers believe is a cheap price, I do too, so I will just continue to hold it. I bought it to hold allocated bullion for me and that is what they are doing. Today's swoon is a bummer but it will recover.

Good of Ian to get back to you so promptly!

Cheers,
Ogi
