RIGHT! Some quack says, "there has been cooling, if you take 1998 as your point of reference." and you jump on it. So here's something for you, my oven sets itself off and on several times while I'm baking a pizza in it. If you take the last time it was on as a reference, then over the next two minutes it is cooling down. Why don't you reach in and hold the cooling oven?! And this is assuming your quack has not been playing fast and lose with selective data. Take a look at the last 13 years for which we have data and then compare that with the 10 hottest years in the world. Tell us what you find out.
