There are plenty of people in my neighborhood who obtained Option Pay loans which gave you the choice to pay only 1% each month - for any 18 months, some for 27 months.

Of course the actual interest rate was 6.4%, but who cares about that. Guess which 18 or 27 month period these "home owners" chose to use to optional period.
