GS was brilliant to put the whole issue with 1 institution - no arbitrage opportunities in the market. Looks like this deal will pave the way for the government to get all the warrants they want from the banks if they use this as the US/SWF of last resort.

Many good political counterpoints from Congress against all of the neocons about Wall Street never supporting public healthcare. It would be much cheaper to just change the accounting rules, which would more than offset all of the losses the banks incurred from the destruction of GSE capital a few weeks ago.

Yes Dale that is what you and several others have been saying. I want to thank all of you as I now have almost 40% of portfolio in preferred stocks. This has been accomplished in just the last several weeks. I just tag along.
