The 30-year didn't go up today in price, which it has consistently done lately when the market is down. A nice sign for those long in TBT. So maybe people aren't seeing the long end as a safe haven now. I'm set for a hefty profit if the 30-year moves back up over 5%.

So if the Japs and the Chinese hold so much of our paper now, and they back off of buying all this debt we're about to issue, who's going to buy it? Maybe the commonfolk will get vouchers for 30-years instead of tax returns, or social security checks.
