the problem is not banks ability to borrow money from Fed. The major problem is that they are all insolvent if they are forced to mark to market with the market price so low. So they need capitals and right now with so many early investors burned alive, no one dare to put any more money into problem banks. If everyone believe that this is the last capital injection, all the fund on the sideline will jump in and problem loans be damped... may be I am talking myself into longing some financial...
