I haven't followed the CEG story except in the headlines. Probably no downside but I don't know how viable the EDF bid is.

The risk with CEG is that regulators don't approve the deal and nationalize CEG instead.

Just a thought - but Berkshire's bid for CEG takes the company private. Therefore, $26.50 is max price. Also, French company's offer of $35 is in limbo and IMHO has huge uphill struggle to make it work since Warren Buffet has already infused $1 billion dollars just recently into the company. However, there is serious contention regarding the sale of the company with current stockholders so who knows how that will pan out.
