Only hours before Bush announced the surge to the American People, Hadley went to McCain and said (paraphrased), "We've GOT to have your support. We can surge five brigades, and that's all we can do. Will you support us on this? If you don't, it won't work." This is not the kind of conversation one has with someone who isn't important to the process and with someone who doesn't have a record of accomplishment This is why you like McCain....because he supported the surge? That's the least of what a president does. You are whacked!
