How many 3rd world countries with a Malaria problem do we have? Maybe not a lot but certainly those 'few', mostly in Africa, are those receiving economic aid from Europe and elsewhere at the strict condition, that they don't use DDT sprayed anywhere in any form.

Treated nets, yes, that is OK.

Reminds me of when my kids were small and spent the summers with my in-laws close to Toyama in Japan, where the 'ka' (small FL style fierce mosquitos) are very active during the hot tropical heat nights.
Primitive town houses, no air conditioning, all windows open for the breeze.
Yes, sleeping under nets is a must.
Unfortunately kids sometimes move around and more than once they woke up after a night with a foot sticking out, it sure looked all that itchy it was, quite bumpy from the bloody feast of the night dwellers.

That said the good news in that part of the world: No Malaria!

But it just proves how malaria is contracted easily by kids in spite of all the nets delivered by the DDT opposed green infested nations of Europe.
