Apparently your buddy Keys was a real heavy in getting coconut labelled as one of the bad guys.

That was the old obsession about saturated fats...

Apparently virgin coconut oil is the kind to get.

Whole Foods has an organic version as well, if you want to go the extra mile. Actually, that's the only place I have seen coconut oil.

Some of the benefits are probably hype.

Yeah, but if all you want is to cook some food, and not be harmed by the oil you use (as is the case with Omega 6s), it is not the problem.

First, do no harm...
