when doctors think of themselves more as retailers and advisors instead of gods.

We will be living in "frozen hell" then. :>)

The people who post here and have the guts to question their Doctors about what they have and how to treat it are participating in "Med 2.0." The Doctors, all having taken a course called "God 101," won't like it. Most like the present "Med 1.0" where they are the Wizard of Oz and you are the supplicant.

On any specific disease, it is now possible for you to become as well versed in the surface of your problem and the possible treatments for it as a Doctor. After all, you live with it, the Doctor sees it for about 15 minutes every few months. You had better get on top of it.

The very act of doing this helps give you the mental and emotional strength to fight your disease.
