Capturing CO2 has been a subject of research for a few decades. The point of the articles I referenced was that CO2 has economic value, and can be used for enhanced recovery of natural gas. In other words, while I agree that co2 capture increases costs, some of this cost can be recovered through these new applications.

The coal plants that power American today are the results of research yesterday. They are vastly more efficient and clean than those built 30 years ago. We should continue this progress, and work to accelerate it.
