Give him time--we have not yet seen this situation completely play out. McCain was right about the surge and right about Palin as VP--he could yet pull another one out of the hat. Hope so.

1994, Congress gave Greenspan the power to regulate the mortgage market but he refused to use it. The Federal Reserve and SEC sat on their hands while this crisis developed.

Hate (again) to let facts get in the way of a nice daydream, but Dodd is the head of the Senate banking committee, Frank is the head of the financial services committe... so I think this sort of their job! LOL

BTW... apparently Obama has been talking to Dodd at least daily for weeks.... McCain? Called him for the first time TODAY!
