"Lawmakers deluged with e-mails against bailout

Americans are speaking out in great numbers -- with anger, passion and ALL CAPITAL LETTERS."

I've written to my representative and senators. Also sent "thank you and hang tough" messages to Senator Shelby and those who have stood with him. I've seen encouraging quotes from Shelby, Cornyn, DeMint, McConnell, Dodd, Voinovich, and Corker.

your message loses credibility with:

"One week later Paulson wrote a $200 Billion taxpayer funded check to bail out Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac"

Not one check was written yet for either of them, aside from operating costs of FHFA.

FNM has a cushion that could last into 2009 or even 2010 before the first check is written.
