i heard the "rest of the story" is that leverage is primarily to blame. i've heard ratios like 30-1.

let's see... company has $1, exec want $1. borrow 30-1 and make ~3% commission... voila... exec now has $1 in commissions as commissions equal entire holdings of company.

it works... until it doesn't. when it doesn't, all thos government bribes will pay off.

remember, we won't be paying the bushevics $500k + expenses for a luncheon talk after he leaves office.
