McCain unlike Obama appears to care about more than just politics. Then again Obama did start campaigning almost right after he was elected to the senate.

You mean Barney "I see no crisis here (2006)"? That was his response to attempts to deal with this problem.

An Dodd was too busy getting his cushy loan and stuffing his campaign treasury with subprime gratuities........
