e-mail and calls running 20-1 against the Paulson Plan. and how many of those can make an educated assessment of the problem. how many can define derivative or hedge fund?

What bothers me about all your Jefferson quotations is that Jefferson ran up huge personal debts and died insolvent, indeed in debt--the original credit junkie. He also owned lots of slaves and DNA evidence proves he had sex with some of them. The latter fact is not so significant. But to hold him up as a bastion against bankers is somewhat like holding up John Dillinger as a bastion aginst incursions of liberty from the FBI.
