I'd never seen uncontrolled intersections until I moved to Washington State. In my neighborhood, the corner right by my house is uncontrolled. I keep waiting for someone to get T-boned, as some people roar through oblivious to the fact they need to pay attention to right of way rules.

I've seen a tremendous number of those traffic circles or roundabouts being put in place in our area and in the Seattle area. I am not crazy about them but I wonder how they will affect high speed chases.

Traffic is constantly moving through them, and you don't have to stop if there is nothing in the circle. But you have to keep a careful watch in several directions at once. The upside is you are not driving very fast through them because you can't.
