Nonsense....McCain's choice to suspend his campaign (which he did not do, and then try to cancel the debate (unnecessary now) to fly into Washington and deal with negotiations he admits he doesn't understand....is just foolish grandstanding. If he now trys to claim credit for the deal, he will be mocked ruthlessly.

Oh, and watch this and tell me again you are comfortable with this person handling foreign affairs or anything else.....

(That must be why he hasn't recorded a single vote in Congress since April... yeah, that must be it! Because his votes were so critical to the functioning of the entire economy.... :-)

Wonder why the congressional negotiators preparing this Bush Bailout proposal didn't want *either* Presidential candidate at their negotiating table then?

(Something about: "not wanting to inject partisan Presidential campaign politics into an already fraught and delicate negotiation" and "not wanting some glory-hog to come barging in, on the very brink of an agreement, and then run out to the waiting television cameras to try to claim credit for having 'saved' everything"....)
