Like when McCain hailed her as one of the top experts on energy. Why? Well, she is from Alaska. After watching the news tonite, I realize this country is too far gone to save. I had hoped that Obama could pull us from the brink but I think at this point its hopeless. Congress is like a family hovering over a patient and can't decide whether to do something to try and save him or her or to do nothing. Meanwhile the patient is getting closer and closer to death. Supposedly McCain was going to DC to get things rolling; instead he created more division. It would be comical if it weren't such a tragedy. I don't think I even care any more. Divide the country up into regional sections and go our separate ways. I think that would be easier than trying to keep the Union together. I met with friends tonite for drinks and they can't even follow what's happening any more. Its gotten way too confusing. Too many problems; too much chaos; too much disagreement.
