I won't be surprised if McCain fires an advisor or two, and soon. This was indeed a debacle for his presidential bid.

And then there are tonight's debates.

He gets $160k a year to be a senator. That's his job. He went back to work. He can still distance himself from bush and paulson. Though I don't think Bush really wants this bailout that bad.

Anything more than a very minor bailout is a blunder on the same proportions of Greenspans over lowering of rates and holding them low back in 2001-2004.
