I haven't lived in Juneau , Alaska or Southeast Alaska for years now , Boca_Pete . However I did reside in Ketchikan , Sitka , and Juneau for eleven years in the 80's and 90's and the topic of moving the capital from Juneau is important to most of the residents of Juneau . Governor Palin's favorable ratings in the state of Alaska have been quoted at over 85% and I'm sure that probably includes some of the residents of Juneau too . I voted for her in the last election and will vote for her in the next election weither the citizens of Alaska vote again to move the capital from Juneau or not .

And governor Palin hasn't proposed to move the capital from Juneau ... yet . However she has held many legislative sessions durning the summers on the " road and rail belt transportation system " since she's been the governor to allow many of Alaska's residents to attend more of those meetings and offer their opinions on what's best for Alaska .
