Cirrus, I missed all but a short clip of the Katie Cricket-Palin interview. The brief snippet showed flaky-headed Katie asking Palin what specific steps McCain had taken in the past to stop the mortgage meltdown. When Palin highlighted McCain's attempts to raise lending standards at Fannie/Freddie, Katie Cricket cluelessly repeated her question. The commentator reporting on the interview made the point that McCain was one of the very few members of congress who did sound the alarm that Fannie/Freddie were out of control, but Democrats obstructed his efforts.
