Repubs tried to block the New Deal as well. The party is over. Even i who considers myself a supply sider as well as a keynsian understands that the old rules failed and government is now part of the solution not the problem. Of course there will come a time 20, 30, 40 years from now when the govt will get in the way, but for now they are what stands between us and the abyss and the republicans house members choose the abyss and the choir says Amen.
