Thanks for verifying the strength of Palin's answer to Couric. Besides John McCain, no other member of congress had attempted to stop the corruption conducted by Fannie Mae's CEO, Democrat Franklin Raines. In fact, the Democrats protected their fellow party members who were running Fannie and Freddie into bankruptcy. You see, the crucial point made in the Palin-Couric interview is that John McCain put country first when he tried to sound the Fannie Mae alarm, and congressional Democrats blocked his proposed reforms.

>Couric, not Palin, first mentioned McCain's support of tighter lending standards. When asked if she could cite any other examples of McCain supporting increased oversight<

That was just Couric fishing for an obscure answer to a question that had already been answered.

This was one of the strangest interviews I have seen of a candidate------Couric wasn't interested in Sarah Palin as the Vice Presidential Candidate----she was using John McCain to avoid talking about Sarah's own views on the office of the Vice President and her role in a McCain administration.

We now have had Charlie Gibson and Katie Couric both doing attack interviews of Sarah Palin. This is mainstream media doing everything they can to influence the election.

Katie Couric's interview was truly poor journalism---she came off like the airhead she is.
