if some companies fail, there will be others that come along to satisfy demand.

That's fine, as far as it goes. But what really concerns me is the imminent threat of the drying up of capital flow and credit availability. That's the life blood of our economy. Staunch that flow and it's depression time.

Spanking a few greedy CEO's and "punishing" Wall Street might feel good, but again, it's the big picture that needs to be focused on. And paying a price of increased debt and inflation may be the only way to avoid something far worse..
