"We should probably let all those who are bankrupt go bankrupt, and then offer to provide free rent to families for 6 months while they get back on their feet and expand programs to make sure that children do not starve to death. We will also need to be prepared to provide 100's of billions in additional unemployment benefits. The crap is going to be all over the fan -- giving lavish parting gifts to Wall Street at this point in time is not merely obscene -- it is criminal. Millions of Americans dug a hole they cannot climb out of -- the bottom line is we cannot let them or their children starve to death on the streets -- but nor should we shield them from the majority of the consequences of their own financial self-destruction. We are approaching the point where we are going to be a nation of soup kitchens -- and we will have to borrow the money from 'poor' Chinese people to pay for the soup. We should treat this the same as drug addiction -- therapy for the user and jail for the pusher. Instead, the pushers want to be paid in full for drugs consumed to date. Cuff them."
