McCain came across as angry, explosive, and disrespectful. Obama came across as presidential.

Remember, it is not how this plays with both choirs, it is how it plays with the people in the middle. McCain reinforces the image as angry and impulsive, whereas Obama dispelled the image of inexperienced.

A win for Obama.
