When you look at the current financial situation from the view of an Independent you are free to see the following:

1. The Democrats were more than happy to make mortgages available to the "po" people who are their constituents. I believe they encouraged Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac to make money available to that group of people with less than good credit.

2. The GOP backers figured out how to make a ton of money in the sub prime arena and were more than happy to keep that roll moving.

1+2= disaster

Business players tend to be short sighted these days and are only looking for the future as it relates to their tenure, instead of the long term sustainability of the system and the well being of all.

In short...............GREED and power reign as King makers and those words should be the names of our two parties.
