BRK on the list of mega cap financials that have held in 2008. BRK/a (I'm still a shareholder) is -4.66% and BRK/b (smaller holder here) is -6.57%.

Among the other mega cap financials, the following have done better in 2008.

1. WFC +27.57%, -12.13% in 2007, +16.82% in 2006
2. JPM +13.68, -6.90 in 2007, +25.60 in 2006
3. HBC +1.96%, -4.08% in 2007, +18.86% in 2006
4. AABA.NA -0.27%, +57.23% in 2007, +16.07% in 2006
5. BNP.FP -3.40%, -7.09% in 2007, +26.22% in 2006
6. BRK/a -4.66%, +28.74% in 2007, +24.11% in 2006

BRK/a ranks 5th in previous 1 year
7th in previous 2
12th in previous 3
10th in previous 4
12th in previous 5

Perhaps a major comeback!
Remember when Warren used to kick everyone's ass?

He should stay out of politics, where he is mentally challenged, and get back into investing.

At only 78, he still has a good 23 years of serious investing to do. Why 101? Well, that's the life span of his close friend and idol, Phil Carret. Phil was active pass 100 and Warren may out live us all.
