I've been busy, but in perusing the dictionary today I discovered there's already an entry for "beyond pathetic." It's called Palinesque.

Mish, I would disagree with you on a few points:

Preface: if MCCain was really putting country first he would not have selected a totally unqualified VP!! She has the mind of a child!

1) pork barrel spending is a throw away line i.e. no one is against doing something about that including Obama. But also remember many of those earmarks are important.

2) Foreign policy: It doesn't matter one wit what either one of them said. The only thing that matters is who has the best knowledge, analytical skills and temperament to keep the world safe.

3) The fact that negative campaigning keeps working. Republicans have been winning presidential elections with negative campaigning for 30 years. What are the dems to do? Give up another election when this next election could doom our kids? Many liberals right now are willing to make existential decisions to safegurad oru children.

So both candiates ironically are pandering to a less than sophisticated electorate. There is no other path. And I feel both Mccain and Palin are very dangerous. Mccain for his temperment, and developing dementia, IMO and the fact he relates everythign to war. His entire lifelong world as been the military. Over and over last night he used military analogies and he only talked in sound bites.

Obama spoke in complete sentences.

And as mentioned, putting Palin in the white house would be like having a child president!!! See video below:

Lisen to the question Katie Couric asks and then listen to Palins answer.

Mish to date I do not see a qualified presidential candidate from both parties.

It would be a disaster if a power hungry demagog attorney with a even more power hungry wife, wins the election but on the other hand the other team is also failing.

WE were left to choose between a bad and a very bad choice - how sad
