I have confidence she'll do fine. Certainly as well as Biden. He puts his foot in his mouth daily now.

Listened to NPR on the way to work this morning. Very liberal but even they ended up mocking Biden's gaffes.

Listen to Obama on a question where he hasn't been coached, he's all un..un..uh.. That interview was early in this crisis and a difficult problem(even reid said no one knows what to do) so I bet Obama would have hemmed and hawed his way though that questions.

<For some reason they fear her.>

I doubt it after the Katie Couric interview. I'm starting to feel sorry for her. I'm not being sexist but I do believe she was used as a political pawn and really didn't realize what she was getting into. I could stand corrected next week (and will gladly admit I'm wrong) if she performs well. Hilary is far from perfect but she has had YEARS of dealing with this stuff in the national media and no matter what side you're from you are going to compare her to other women in leadership positions. I just couldn't imagine being an intelligent independent woman and not cringing listening to her speak during that interview.

I wouldn't feel too sorry for Palin. This whole thing is a win-win for her. She has gotten incredible media coverage.......3 short weeks ago no one knew who she was outside of Alaska. Now she's a major national topic of conversation. McCain loses......she goes back to Alaska, takes a couple of university courses on international affairs and American history, starts reading google news and the NY Times regularly...and in a few years, she will be back as the senator from the great state of Alaska. After all, the woman is clever, attractive and charismatic with a photogenic family. And apparently, there is not a lot of competitive talent in Alaska.
