Biden’s spokesman called Palin “a leviathan of forensics,” a classic example of the campaign tactic of raising the expectations of an opponent and lowering your own. “She's very skilled and she'll be well-prepared,” said Barack Obama’s chief strategist David Axelrod Sunday night, flying with Biden back to Delaware to help him get ready. “As you saw at the convention she can be very good. So, I think it would be foolish to assume that this isn’t going to be a really challenging debate. We're preparing for that, on that assumption.” Taking it one step farther, Biden spokesman David Wade later added, “he's going in here to debate a leviathan of forensics, who has debated five times and she's undefeated.” freerepublic.com Now I ask you, just which side is confidant re. their VP pick? Palins been competent in past positions, got a very large natural gas pipeline deal that had been bandied about for decades bid out, accepted and signed pretty quickly. I wonder if people obsessing over Palins qualifications can cite Obama's qualifications. He hasn't run a blooming lemonade stand before. His biggest accomplishments have been writing books about himself and getting people to vote for him. What has he accomplished in life for anyone outside his own immediate family? He speaks of himself as a community organizer, but claims he was unaware of the terrible conditions in the buildings (no heat for weeks in Chicago winters) ran by his longtime friend and financial backer, Tony Rezko. Sounds like an out of touch with the community community organizer to me. How come Obama didn't know about these conditions in his district?
