That was unglued? She bobbled a talking point, and suddenly she's unglued? And it was a nasty 'gotcha' interview as well. When hairboy John Edwards was picked for VP, nobody even asked him a hard question. It was all how are you feeling, Mr. Edwards? and do repeat your 'two Americas' line for us again. Not to mention that nobody in the media has ever at any point in the last two years, played 'gotcha' with Senator Neophyte over his lack of foreign policy or executive experience. Nobody has ever once said to him, "You've never run anything, what makes you think the Presidency is an entry level job?" The reaction to Palin has been unprecedented in its disdain and nastiness.

Now, if you want to speak of unglued, or perhaps stream of consciousness would be a better phrase, shall we reprise some of Joe Biden's recent statements? Saying Hillary would be a better pick for vp, no coal plants will ever be built in America, and Franklin Roosevelt went on TV in 1929, this is better? But nobody bats an eyelash, they just say, there goes dear old Joe again.

I do think the McCain camp is making a mistake in keeping Palin from interviewers. She should be getting more practice with interviewers who will try to interview her and not try to humiliate her, which in practice at the moment seems to be talk radio or maybe Jim Lehrer.
