Thanks for posting that. It is the easiest to understand explanation of CDS's I have come across.

I will be very interested to read his solution to the problem as he states the Paulson plan will not only fail but makes the situation worse.

An analogy: this article explains a situation where there is a forest that has not had a fire for over a thousand years. (Filled with dead foliage from many years of no fire, this forest is a powder keg waiting to explode). To make matters worse, the city the forest is in has decided to abolish the fire department because a fire will certainly never happen. And then one day, someone drops a lit match.
