Some of each. Probably more of the latter, because that's the cowardly way to go about it and gubmint can act like they had no idea inflation was getting out of control. They can also have the BLS massage the numbers like they always do and simply deny it exists. You'll pay more, the Pigmen will be enriched, the campaign contributions will continue to flow to our elected "representatives". But the dollar will fall, long rates will soar and so will gold (and probably oil, too). What's not to like?<G>
