Tito, I had heard the INTC had selected LRCX to develop 300mm CVD, however, I recently also heard that LRCX got the boot, but I did not hear who they were planing to work with.

300mm is going to be very interesting, I don't think we can automatically assume that AMAT, LRCX and NVLS will come out the winners in all categories. This could be the opportunity for market share and leads to change. I am well aware of the amount of money that AMAT spends on R&D and that should put them in the a good position to get alot of the 300mm business, but there are no guarantees.

At this point..as far as I know, Oxide etch (biggest portion of etch)is also wide open for grabs.

Hi Tito, I am back into AMAT after taking off for a while. I find solace in this thread and are bullish again after analyst downgraded AMAT. Ricardo Villa will enter at 30. Great. I will enter all the way down till 20.
I remembered your brilliant strategy back in 1996. I will follow them.
I loved this sector and will reenter even if it means I sell all my other stocks at a loss just to get BACK IN. ;-)

I am glad and thought I missed AMAT for good when it hit 105.Regards
