Update, Aug. 12: The tax falsehoods continued with the release of a McCain Web ad Aug. 11 claiming that the "perks" of joining the Obama "fan club" include "a tax incease for everyone earning more than $42,000 a year." I don't know where this came from but I never heard the campaign say this. Even if the campaign DID make the statement, this is minor when compared, for example, with Obama's lie that he did not support sex ed for kindergarteners -- an absolute, indisputable lie versus a grammatical slip.
