For mccain to win, he has to emulate HST in 1948. He has to be combative and populist like HST and run against the "effete, elitist obama" same way HST ran against "elitist, mustacheod and somewhat arrogant NYC DA Tom Dewey. IF i were mccain, i would get palin to resign for family reasons---downs kid, pregnant kids, flying putins etc. and pick a heavyweight like romney, lieberman, hucky or a newbie like Eric Cantor who has just made a name for himself. Eco specialists will help a lot. I dont think he can win with Palin in the Truman scenario outlined above.
